The book is divided into three main chapters, the first of which is titled “What is the Enemy?” In it, the author attempts to define the nature of the enemy, and shows the need of countries and groups for enemies, and that this enemy is created by a political decision. The author also deals with the parties responsible for creating enemies, and the role of politicians and intellectuals in identifying them. In the second chapter of the book, “Faces of the Enemy: An Attempt at Classification,” the author sets out a classification that includes types of enemies.
