Egypt Culture and Identity

Its nine chapters focus on examining Egyptian politics since the beginning of the nineteenth century, with the emergence of signs of illness in the body of the Ottoman Empire and the increasing influence of European countries. The book also deals with the openness of culture and intellectuals to incoming ideas, and the relationship between culture and politics, after a historical review of the relationship between Egyptians and the authority and the military in the eras of change of successive states ruling Egypt and the role of the intellectual and his influence on social, cultural and revolutionary transformations.
