In this field, the author traces the historical origins of ideas and perceptions of Syrian-Lebanese relations since the emergence of the Arab idea in the late Ottoman era, during the Faisal era, and then during the French mandate era. He also analyzes the experience of the Syrian bourgeoisie and its view of Lebanon, moving on to monitor this matter during the Syrian-Egyptian unity, then during the separation period, and up to the Baath era. He concludes this presentation by detailing the new trends that the Syrian protest movement showed.
