Bashara describes freedom as a dangerous and fateful issue for man and society. “Discussing it is not limited to defining freedoms as a value and standard by which the morality of action is measured, but rather it is supposed to go beyond that to include man’s awareness of the choices at a certain stage, and within given historical circumstances, and the extent to which any choice pushes society towards achieving and guaranteeing freedoms, and the risks inherent in choices whose consequences are not calculated correctly, including harm to the issue of freedom itself.”
