Diyar Bir al-Saba is a book that reviews the history of the Bir al-Saba region and its city, starting with the Ottoman policy towards its Arabs and tribal communities and what was known as the "Negev Bedouins", then its fate within what was called "Southern Palestine" in the Ottoman regulations. It also discusses the geopolitical changes in this region between 1850 and 1900, the intensification of agriculture and the Ottoman and international interest it produced, then the Ottomans turning the Bir al-Saba region into a fighting front against Britain stationed in Egypt. The book addresses the tribal conflicts between the people of the region and their real cause, not what is written by biased pens, addressing the permanent conflict between tribal customary law and state law. The book discusses the issue of the continuation of the Ottoman "Land Law" after the fall of the Ottoman Caliphate, and how to use it.
