Explanation of the book

Section: Translated Novels

Number of pages: 351 pages

This novel gained its Arab fame from a famous Japanese anime series produced in 1985, which was dubbed into Arabic and named (Sally). However, cinema had previously presented the novel to viewers in a film produced in 1939, which gained additional fame for what this immortal classic was, and was then re-filmed for cinema in 1995. It is worth noting that this novel, like all of the writer’s works, has been widely acclaimed since its publication until now and has been placed among the best hundred books for children in several categories, and it has been translated into almost all living languages. (A Little Princess) may be a fictional story or a true story depending on the way the reader receives it. She is an orphan girl who is exposed to hardship beyond her young age’s capacity, but despite that, she deals with her circumstances in a dignified manner similar to the way experienced women do. In order to overcome her miserable circumstances, she is forced to weave fairy tales and befriend the mice in her attic after losing everything. Sara is a little girl, but she speaks like a mature person and has opinions about the world that seem as if she has experienced life for many years. Girls wish that this girl would be their friend or that they would be like her, just as mothers wish that their daughters would be like her.
