Explanation of the book

Section: Political books

Number of pages: 280 pages

“This book is not a biography of the movements whose beginnings we called the ‘Arab Spring’, and then we were confused about choosing a name for their succession, nor is it a biography of its author, in the past few years, as he is one of those who chose to contemplate these movements as a way to cover up their absorption in them and to preserve their affiliation to them at the same time. In both cases, the biography requires a deliberate effort to encompass and a hoped-for consistency that this book does not claim; on the one hand, ‘the movements’ are a collection of articles governed by different occasions and successive times, whether long or short, and orbits and other descriptions, and on the author’s side, they are mirrors in some places, and masks in others.”
