Explanation of the book
The book is divided into four chapters; the first chapter discusses the differences in economic structures in Arab countries, in order to crystallize the thesis of resource integration as a basis for facing food security challenges. For this purpose, the book classifies Arab countries into two main groups: oil-exporting countries that are members of the Gulf Cooperation Council and outside it, and the rest of the Arab countries that are characterized by a greater degree of diversity in their economic structures. This chapter also presents the agreements that have been signed and the organizations that have been established successively since the 1950s, which are related to food security.
