The novel examines the issue of Palestinian and Arab-Israeli coexistence, in a problematic and ambiguous relationship between a Palestinian writer, an Israeli actress, and the son of a well-known Arab leader. Through a multi-level narration, in the context of which another narrative is generated, it presents two experiences of two Palestinian expatriates who return from the diaspora to the Gaza Strip, revealing the social and political transformations that occurred in Palestinian society and their varying repercussions on each of the two personalities, and a third experience of an Israeli woman who suffers from the rupture of her social relations, and from An existential dilemma deepened by the corresponding transformations at the level of Israeli society
