The German writer David Wagner waited for years to die, and with every new day of his life he was amazed that he was still alive. In the middle of his fourth decade, his waiting became twofold, either the inevitable death, or survival that depended on the presence of a recently deceased donor whose liver accepted to settle in this body without resentment. He was saved, and death chose another person to separate from his family. Wagner felt grateful towards that unknown person who gave him a new life, and decided, a year after he underwent a liver transplant, to write his experience inside the hospital in a novel, which he called "Life", which was published five years ago by Dar Published by the German Rufolt. Within a few months, it gained worldwide fame, became the best-selling in Germany, in addition to winning the Leipzig Book Fair award, and has been translated to 17 languages to this day.
