On Tuesday evening, October 20, 2020, the activities of the exceptional digital session of the Copenhagen Arab Book Fair 2020 were concluded. The session was held in cooperation between Nordic Digital World and Dar Lusail, media sponsorship from the Combs Media Foundation, and digital sponsorship from the Arabescapazaar platform specialized in marketing Arabic books in Europe, after The postponement of the second session of the exhibition due to the spread of another wave of the Corona pandemic, as the organizers relied on a virtual two- and three-dimensional digital platform.

In turn, Alaa Al-Barghouti, director of the exhibition, expressed his deep thanks to all the guests and sponsors who participated in the exhibition, especially Combs, the media sponsor of the second session of the exhibition. With the participation of a group of Iraqi figures of literature, thought and publishing, the exhibition also witnessed the participation of guests from Europe, the Arab Gulf, Egypt, Morocco and the Arab world.

Al-Barghouti stressed the importance of the Arab book fairs that are held in Europe, as they provide space for promoting the culture of dialogue and cooperation, spreading democracy and supporting positive integration based on the promotion of the Arabic language and culture, and the definition of Arab culture based on respect for others and intellectual diversity.

In addition, the exhibition witnessed a joint symposium with the Swedish Royal Library, in the presence of a representative of the Swedish Public Libraries Association, in addition to many symposiums in which Arab writers, publishers, translators and artists from the Arab world and Europe participated.

The exhibition witnessed the participation of about 28,000 paper and digital titles from more than 200 publishing houses from all Arab countries, in addition to Arab publishing houses in Europe, in addition to a group of prestigious Arab bookstores in Europe.

It is noteworthy that the exceptional digital session of the Copenhagen exhibition was held digitally, in an attempt to overcome the negative effects of the spread of the Corona virus, which led to the cessation of many international and Arab exhibitions.

It is noteworthy that the first session of the Copenhagen Fair was held last year, organized by the Nordic Digital World Company, with the participation of about a hundred Arab publishing houses, which was the first of its kind in the Danish capital at that time.
