There is an abundant celebration in Suad Al-Amiri’s narration in her book of the Palestinian as an individual person, not by referring him to a people afflicted by occupation, displacement and expulsion. In the book, you read a flood of incidents of loss, bereavement and pain, and all of this is not expressed in one way, because the narrators are different, and the storyteller who hears and sees is faithful in conveying what she hears and sees, and with free flow as if in the open air, and without resorting to any metaphor or rhetoric, as the nightmarish feeling is sufficient, sometimes, and the comic laughter at other times.
