The author adopted an approach that is easy to handle by providing a basic rule about the intended lesson topic with appropriate and illustrative examples, then attaching it to grammatical models as applied exercises, then following it with several exercises to give students the opportunity to test their abilities and the extent of their comprehension of what they have learned, or to clarify the grammatical position of a word, whether it is a noun, verb, or letter in a linguistic sentence. He also provided solutions to these exercises in the last section of the book.
