I have always been a student of happiness and meaning throughout my life. In my early memories, what pleases me most is the attempt to explore the depths of what makes life happy, valuable and meaningful. This was what led me to choose my major (a cleric then an author and speaker), to pursue my degrees (in psychology and sociology, and philosophical studies), to write books, and to initiate research that had occupied my life as an adult. It was a mental and emotional endeavor. My mind wanted to know the secrets of happiness, and my heart wanted to live it.
