This book includes eight short stories written by Ghassan Kanafani over different years, in different places and at different times, and collected after his martyrdom. As for “The Stolen Shirt,” it was one of the first stories written in the fifties, and was first published in Kuwait in 1958, when it won first prize in a literary competition.
