The chapters of the book revolve around evidence of inequality in Egypt, the Arab world and the world, including the disparity in the distribution of income and wealth that worsened after the collapse of the Soviet Union and after the decline of welfare policies in developed countries and their move towards a market economy and the reduction of government social spending. The author attempts to formulate more than one definition for the concept of "social justice", and to examine its meaning in order to build a concept that keeps pace with the human aspiration to combat injustice.
